Coming Home

Having grown up in Western NY, I have many fond memories of visiting the local parks throughout my childhood.  Joining my family to visit Niagara Falls, attending school trips to Fort Niagara, tobogganing at Chestnut Ridge Park, and walking the trails at Glen Park to enjoy the waterfall were all routine experiences that set the stage for my love of parks and recreation while providing a focus for my career growth.  In my youth I had the pleasure of working for New York State Parks for 8 years, and my experiences there helped steer me in the direction of landscape architecture as a field of study. Upon conferment of my degree I moved to South Florida to pursue my goals of working with several of the great minds of this discipline.

Over the course of many trips back home to Buffalo, I watched WNY shrug off its rust-belt past and emerge from the shadows of yesteryear.  This regional renaissance proved to be the ultimate catalyst for my return home.  I am proud to say that I was brought on by Joy Kuebler Landscape Architect PC in 2016.  I’m happy to have found a home on a team that is experienced in the development of parks, urban plazas, and streetscapes and who also aligns with my passion to design public spaces for those enjoying the region’s revival.
