Niagara Arts and Cultural Center
Niagara Falls, NY Architect: Clinton Brown Company Architects The former Niagara Falls High School is now the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, as well as a building on the State Historic Registry. Originally the building had a sweeping drive lane leading from Pine Avenue up to the entry stairs in front of the building. We were asked to coordinate the return of the driveway, meeting the State Historic Preservation Office requirements, as well as the recommendations of the Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Commission. We were fortunate to have had an original planting plan from 1923 and were able to replace the majestic Elm trees that lined the drive, as well as use the species list to locate some much needed landscaping areas throughout the front lawn area. |
